FIELD: rocketry; designing, development and production of solid propellant charges for rocket engines for ejection of catapult seats of pilot emergency rescue systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed solid propellant charge has set of solid propellant pots. Outer contour of each pot is made in form of two circular cylinders of equal diameter "sunken" one into other. Circular passages of equal diameter are made along axis of each cylinder. Cylinder axis-to-axis distance is selected from ratio when axis-to-axis distance exceeds two thicknesses of burning dome of pots and is lesser than two thicknesses of burning dome of pots together with diameter of circular passage.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability; reduced emission of unburnt fuel residue.
