FIELD: electrical engineering; sliding current-collecting members.
SUBSTANCE: proposed compound designed to impart high strength, hardness, and mechanical endurance to current collector in its motion over power-transmission contact member has in its composition calcined coke, man-made graphite, phenolic binder, and stearine. Coke-to-graphite ratio in compound is 1 : 3. Desired electrical resistance of parts is attained due to their heat treatment at temperature of 800 - 1000 °C in reducing medium, proportion of ingredients being as follows, mass percent: calcined coke, 40-60; man-made graphite, 20-4-; stearine, 0.5-1; phenolic binder, 21-30.
EFFECT: enhanced mechanical strength and extended service life of current collector using this compound.
