FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, vacuum cleaning equipment for separating contaminants from air with the use of centrifugal force.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus is detachably mounted in vacuum cleaner suction path for connecting suction opening through which air is drawn into vacuum creating source for providing suction force in suction opening in order to separate garbage from air drawn through suction opening. Apparatus has first chamber in fluid communication with suction opening, second chamber in fluid communication with first chamber and vacuum creating source and designed so as to separate garbage from air with the use of centrifugal force, said air being drawn into first chamber, and partition equipped with at least one opening for connecting first and second chambers, and at least one guiding member positioned adjacent to opening provided between first and second chambers. Upon flowing into second chamber of air spread from first chamber through flow-through opening and guiding member, vortex flow velocity in second chamber is increased and, correspondingly, dust catching capacity of cyclone-type apparatus is improved.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in separating of contaminants from air.
