FIELD: mechanical engineering; vertical rotary machines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vertical rotary machines furnished with propeller shaft drive. Proposed drive has engine and propeller shaft drive consisting of three shafts, namely, lower, middle and upper one, series-interconnected by universal joints with possibility of intersection of axes. One of shaft is made telescopic. Universal joint stop mechanism consists of upper cup rigidly secured on upper shaft with bottom upwards and side wall enclosing universal joints and lower cup installed on lower shaft with bottom downwards for axial displacement, cylindrical compression spring arranged coaxially of lower shaft and rigidly secured to shaft by upper end and rigidly connected with bottom of lower cup by lower end, and flat electromagnetic coil arranged coaxially on lower shaft under bottom of lower cup.
EFFECT: improved reliability of machine in operation.
