FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has frame, suspension, carrier wheels, rotavator shield and drive for rotavator. Drive has telescopic cardan shaft with cardans on ends, conical reductor, chain coupling, safety device and steering clutch, with all parts mentioned being successively arranged in kinematic chain. Steering clutch has driving and driven shafts and tension roller, which are located in casing cavity and connected through toothed drive chain. Tension chain is equipped with loading mechanism and is formed as packet of radial bearings secured through spindle in casing cavity. Lower part of prism is connected through flexible members with loading mechanism. Apparatus is used in machine for commercial extraction of licorice roots.
