HYDRATED HYDROXOALUMINATE OF FORMULA MgAl(OH)·4HO AND METHOD FOR IT PREPARING Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC C01F7/16

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrated magnesium hydroxoaluminate and a method for it preparing. Chemical compound hydrated hydroxoaluminate of the formula Mg₆Al₂(OH)₁₈ x 4 H₂O can be used in pharmaceutical industry, nonferrous metallurgy, in manufacturing antacid agents, as caking additive based on magnesium aluminate in ceramic manufacture. Method for preparing this compound involves addition of sodium aluminate solution with caustic modulus α_k = 3.64-3.70 in magnesium chloride solution with the concentration of magnesium chloride 5-10 wt.-% at the rate 100-250 l/min and prepared mixture is stirred at temperature 80-100°C for 1-3 h. Prepared precipitate is filtered off, washed out and dried at temperature 100-150°C up to constant weight. Invention provides synthesis of new chemical compound useful for different aims.
