FIELD: geodesic engineering, technology for measuring position of controlled points of object relatively to given straight line.
SUBSTANCE: device consists of two viewfinder marks; position-sensitive photo-detector. Viewfinder marks contain viewfinder targets. Viewfinder targets are mounted on circle. Center of circle is combined with center of viewfinder mark. During turns of viewfinder mark around center, alignment line remains unchanged. Photo-detector is made in form of two cameras. Optical axes of cameras are parallel to each other and directed in opposite directions, each towards appropriate viewfinder mark.
EFFECT: prevented influence of alignment pointer inclination on precision of measurements.
