METHOD FOR PREDICTING POSTOPERATIONAL PARESIS OF GASTRO-INTESTINAL TRACT Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61B5/00

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with predicting the degree of postoperational paresis of gastro-intestinal tract. One should carry out peripheral blood sampling to detect leukocytic intoxication index (LII) followed by registration of total bioelectric activity of gastro-intestinal tract (mW). Based upon the data obtained one should calculate the coefficient of paresis severity degree (PSD) by the following formula: CPSD = LII/mW. At CPSD<0.01 one should detect severe degree of gastro-intestinal tract paresis, at CPSD>0.01 - light severity degree of gastro-intestinal paresis. The innovation enables to detect paresis severity degree in the nearest postoperational period.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of diagnostics.
