FIELD: medical science.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely resuscitation science, gastroenterology, traumatology, and may be used for prediction of a risk of gastrointestinal (GIT) paresis. At admission to hospital, relative electrical activity of separate segments of the gastrointestinal tract (Pi/Ps) is measured, and an intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) is measured. Then peristaltic peak factor (PPF) is determined as total Pi/Ps to IAP relation. Further, similarly, determining the PPF in real time and comparing its value with the previous value, if its value decreases with respect to the previous value by 40% or more, a risk of developing gastrointestinal paresis is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides an objective prediction in real time of the risk of gastrointestinal tract paresis and timely administration of therapeutic and preventive measures to prevent the development of gastrointestinal tract paresis and complications caused by gastrointestinal tract paresis, provides the possibility of determining the most susceptible to paresis sections of the gastrointestinal tract by determining the BPF in dynamics.
