FIELD: medical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device has base having fixed support members, bed having lower and upper carcass and drive for drawing the bed up and down designed as screw-nut mechanism. The nut has swing joint connection to the base. The upper carcass has head, hip joint and leg sections. The lower carcass is articulated with the base via two pairs of uprights. Longitudinal tie rod is articulated with levers. The levers are mounted on corresponding upright pairs. Additional support on wheels is available on the longitudinal tie rod. The wheel axes are arranged in cross-section plane drawn through the table center of gravity in a way allowing the axes to go down to the plane drawn through the lower ends of the fixed support members. The drive for drawing the bed up and down has reduction gearmotor. The drive is kinematically linked with the screw-nut mechanism. The nut has swing joint connection to the longitudinal tie rod. Upper carcass sections are pin-connected to each other and have tilt angle lock pins. The lock pins have one set of ends articulated with the lower carcass and the other ends articulated with the corresponding upper carcass section. Joints are available on the lower carcass to connect the head and hip joint sections and guide members. The leg section is mounted on the guide members. The tilt angle lock pins of the head and hip joint sections are designed as locked gas springs. The leg section holder is designed as self-wedging mechanism.
