FIELD: casting of aluminum protectors used for corrosion prevention of steel constructions.
SUBSTANCE: process comprises steps of preparing uniform protector alloy of primary aluminum; casting it into cooled crystallizer; supplying to crystallizer water preliminarily treated by means of magnetic device arranged in water supply line at inlet of crystallizer and providing intensity of magnetic field 18 - 38 kA/m; supplying water at rate 1.5 - 3.8 m/s. Ingot is crystallized by action of applied magnetic field transferred through walls of crystallizer. In secondary cooling zone ingot is cooled with use of magnetized water having temperature gradient 130 - 350°/min. Invention provided controlled heat sink from surface of crystallized ingot.
EFFECT: enhanced uniformity of ingot structure.
