SUBSTANCE: method and device can be used in small-sized surface mounting automatons. Articles of line sequences are disposed in line sequence forming unit for receiving articles to transfer elements. Articles are transported to common carrier by damped surface of transfer element sequent set which is made for rotation. Transfer element set is disposed for longitudinal shift along damping unit, line sequence forming unit for receiving articles to transfer elements and common carrier; all the units are disposed in series. Initial position of transfer element set is disposed in damping unit. Damping of damped transfer elements is performed by rotation of transfer element set. After that transfer element set is shifted into line sequence forming unit for receiving articles to transfer elements where articles are received one after another to any transfer element. Then transfer element set is shifted to area of disposition of common carrier where articles are subject to mounting onto common carrier. Then cycle is repeated.
EFFECT: improved reliability of operation.
