FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: ultrasonic microscope has, in a receiving channel with an immersion liquid, a second acoustic lens and a second ultrasonic transducer which is connected by the output to the first input of the wideband amplifier of the receiving channel, an attenuator which is controlled at the first output of a personal computer and connected between the output of a generator of linearly frequency-modulated oscillations and the second input of the wideband amplifier of the receiving channel, a depth scanning device having a two-way connection with the personal computer which controls its operation and mechanically moves along the normal to the plane of the support of the connected combination of the first and second ultrasonic transducers and the first and second acoustic lenses, as well as a unit for detecting irregularities in the analysed object which is not transparent for light waves, the first, second and third inputs of that unit being respectively connected to the outputs of a threshold device, a clock pulse generator and the second control output of the personal computer, and the output of that unit is connected to the data input of the personal computer, wherein focal planes of the first and second acoustic lenses are superimposed with the analysed section which is parallel to the plane of the support of the analysed object which is not transparent for light waves.
EFFECT: high resolution of the ultrasonic microscope.
