FIELD: technology for determining dimensions of defects of vehicles during traffic accidents.

SUBSTANCE: image of visible defect zones of elements or assemblies of vehicle is transferred to electronic carrier by means of objective control means for recording accident trails in electronic information storage form, for example, by digital camera, and concealed ones - with utilization of non-destructive objective control means, for example, flaw detector, while registered electronic signal of defective zone is received by software of computer, wherein drawn areas of defective zone and non-deformed surface in subject part of assembly are compared, and by means of comparison of produced area appropriate percent of defect of researched object is determined.

EFFECT: increased trustworthiness of determining degree of vehicle damage.
