FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: topographic image of the terrain site plan, the site of a traffic accident, is made on the paper medium. Four or more global positioning devices are placed at the points of the terrain site. The coordinates are transmitted from the positioning devices into the computer. The terrain site is photographed from the top, the image is sent to the computer, in which the position of the positioning devices is combined by labels on the photograph with their coordinates. The features of the environment, information on the technical traffic managing means, some information from the testimony of participants or eyewitnesses are added to the image in the photo. The traffic accident scheme is formed in electronic form and/or as a photo of the terrain site with the applied information about a traffic accident. The scheme and/or photos of a traffic accident are printed on a paper medium.

EFFECT: improving the accuracy and timeliness of determining factors of a traffic accident.
