SUBSTANCE: invention refers to vehicle diagnostics. When defining good condition of a primary braking system at a vehicle, the value of initial speed at vehicle braking is determined. Actual vehicle speed before braking and the steady state deceleration are defined. Actual value of the steady state deceleration is compared to the standard value taking into account the road carpet state at which braking was performed. In case the value of actual steady state deceleration is equal to or more than the standard steady state deceleration, the primary braking system of the vehicle is in good condition. The method is implemented with the help of a device comprising an electric contact sensor, a calculator and a data processing unit, a processor module to which a displacement sensor is connected, a module of keyboard and indication displaying the calculated measurement results, a memory array.
EFFECT: diagnostics of vehicle braking system is provided.
