SURGICAL METHOD FOR TREATING WHITE LINE HERNIA AND DIRECT ABDOMINAL MUSCLE DIASTASIS CASES Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2276968 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out making skin incision along the abdominal middle line from xiphoid process in caudal direction being as long as 1/3 of distance from xiphoid process of the sternum to the umbilicus. Caudal subcutaneous canal is formed without cutting skin and the white line is exposed. The first endoprosthesis is cut out corresponding to abdominal white line sizes. Continuous buried suture is formed in the caudal canal with medial aponeurosis borders and the first endoprosthesis being involved. Cranial subcutaneous canal is formed with its length corresponding to 1/3 of distance from xiphoid process to jugular notch. The second endoprosthesis is cut out in correspondence to joint operation canals. The second endoprosthesis is set in the joint operation canal and fixed along the borders. The skin incision is sutured.

EFFECT: reduced intraoperative injury; enhanced effectiveness in forming and strengthening the abdominal white line.
