FIELD: medicine; surgery.

SUBSTANCE: semilunar skin incision is performed. The proximal skin flap is retracted in the cranial direction and upwards with detachment of the subcutaneous fatty tissue from the aponeurotic plate of the white line of the abdomen in the area of diastasis of the rectus abdominis muscles from the umbilical ring to the xiphoid process of the sternum. From the region of the xiphoid process to the umbilical ring, the aponeurotic plate of the white line of the abdomen is sutured with screwing interrupted eight-shaped sutures, departing from the medial edges of the rectus abdominis muscles 0.5 cm on the left and right with a distance between the sutures making 1–1.5 cm. Before applying each subsequent suture of the thread the previous seam is tied. Further, through the surgical wound, the subcutaneous adipose tissue is detached from the anterior plates of the sheaths of the rectus abdominis muscles from the midline to the medial edges of the rectus abdominis muscles on both sides. Drainage of subcutaneous adipose tissue according to Redon is performed, the surgical wound is sutured.

EFFECT: method allows to eliminate diastasis of the rectus abdominis muscles with minimal surgical trauma, to reduce the frequency of intra- and postoperative complications and eliminate the possibility of foreign body sensation in patients in the postoperative period, and the method also leads to improved cosmetic results of surgical treatment.
