FIELD: plastic metal working, namely surface plastic deforming of working spherical surfaces.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of imparting rotation to blank and tool at constant forcing effort of tool to blank; using tool in the form of stepped mandrel on small-size step of which sleeve is mounted with use of disc spring pack. Said sleeve is made of material with low heat conductivity factor and it has intermittent end working surface reciprocal to worked spherical surface with recesses in the form radial grooves. Sleeve is mounted with possibility of self-aligning. There are ribs on outer surface of sleeve for providing intensive cooling of it. Length of each protrusion formed by radial grooves exceeds at least by two times width of radial groove.
EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities, enhanced efficiency of method, improved quality of surface.
