FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: rotary motion is sent to the stock and rotary motion together with traverse motion is sent to the tool with deforming elements for provision of sphere treatment with pull. Transverse motion is communicated to the tool until it reaches location of contact plane of deforming elements and processed sphere with the centre of the latter. Deforming elements are used as coils of cylindrical spring rolled in ring and covering processed sphere in the plane that crosses its centre. Ring-rolled cylindrical spring is installed in the casing in a floating manner by means of fingers and ring, which is rigidly fixed in them and located inside the coils of mentioned spring. At that internal diameter of ring-rolled cylindrical spring in loose non-operating position is less than the diameter of processed sphere for the value of double pull.
EFFECT: technological capabilities are expanded, and manufacturing process cost is reduced.
