FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for static-pulse surface strengthening of working spherical surfaces exposed to intense wear, steel and cast iron parts. Device comprises body in the form of stepped holder having larger and smaller steps, and deforming element with working part arranged from material with low heat conductivity ratio. Deforming element is arranged in the form of pipe rolled in ring, which is fixed on end of larger step of holder with the possibility of elastic deformation under load and restoration of its size after load clearing. Smaller step of holder is used as wave guide installed in hydraulic cylinder with the possibility of periodic impulse load application to it by means of striker. Striker and wave guide are arranged in the form of rods with identical diametre. Hydraulic cylinder is connected to hydraulic generator of impulses that generates impulse load.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of treatment, stronger surface of stock with higher hardness, wear resistance and resistance to fatigue wear.
