FIELD: electrical engineering; circuit breakers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed circuit breaker has housing with cover, trip-free mechanism with rack, contact system with arc-control chambers, thermal and electromagnetic overcurrent releases in each pole; in addition, thermal release is electrically connected to electromagnet and electromagnetic release, to contact-system movable contact by means of flexible current conductor; thermal release of each pole is divided into two electrically parallel parts. Novelty in proposed circuit breaker is contact system design.
EFFECT: enhanced rated maximum breaking capacity without increasing circuit-breaker size and its mounting and wiring dimensions.
