FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of manufacture of sintered configurations by infiltration. It can be used in manufacture of working members of submersible centrifugal pumps. Proposed method comes to the following: first blank is pressed from powder material, then main impregnating briquette is manufactured, and at least one additional impregnating briquette. Blank and impregnating briquettes are placed in furnace. Sintering of blank is carried out with simultaneous infiltration with impregnating material. Infiltration from additional impregnating briquette is provided in direction opposite to infiltration from main impregnation briquette. In process of pressing, reduction of sizes of pores in volume of blank from at least one of surfaces of contact with impregnating briquettes to inner zone of blank is provided.
EFFECT: increased speed of impregnation and provision of uniform distribution of impregnating material in volume of article.
