FIELD: aviation and rocket engineering antenna fairings with radio-transparent ceramic envelopes for high-speed surface-to-air missiles.
SUBSTANCE: proposed antenna fairing has quartz-crystal ceramic envelope, adapter in the form of ring joined by means of elastic adhesive to inner surface of envelope, external moisture-protecting coating, and internal moisture-protecting component for its surfaces. Novelty is introduction of components designed to compensate for relative displacement of ceramic envelope and intermediate jointing members. These compensating components are made in the form of shaped walls of envelope in its nose and intermediate sections.
EFFECT: enhanced carrying capacity and reliability of antenna dome.
