FIELD: possibility for selecting modes of restoring worn parts by electric contact surfacing.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of surfacing additive wire onto sample and measuring deformation of additive wire; detecting joining zone by extracting from contact surface area surface portions without said joint; measuring as deformation parameters of additive wire width of surfaced bead and summed axial deformation of additive wire for determining percentage axial deformation of wire; determining size of contact land between additive metal and sample while taking into account real values of additive wire upsetting at side of sample and at side of roller; determining boundary of zone of welded joint formation in range of contact land while taking into account tension stresses occurring in cross sections of plastically deformed additive wire to be compared with limit creep of additive metal at given temperature.

EFFECT: improved accuracy of detecting zone of surfacing formation.
