FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in reconditioning outer cylindrical surfaces of worn-out parts by electric contact roller welding filler steel wires. Method includes welding simultaneously two steel wires, in contact with each other by edges. Said wires are tightened in deformation zone one electrode roller and heated by current pulses. Said wires are plastically deformed and welded to sample surface to form double welded bead. When tightening filler wires in deformation zone of their further stretched with application of each of them different force. Force value is determined to allow relative axial components of plastic deformation of filler wires, wherein one wire plastic deformation is from 0.30-0.33, and for other 0.44-0.47.

EFFECT: relative movement of heated metal two filler wires, which takes place on reconditioned surface and at the joint of adjacent welded rolls leads to destruction of dense hydroxide films and promotes formation of solid metal coating without penetration dimension evaluation.
