FIELD: repairing production, possibly heating temperature of additive metal determination method at restoring shafts by means of electric-contact welding on.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of measuring length of additive wire; performing welding onto cylindrical sample at investigated technological mode; after welding on measuring length and width of welded bead according to which determining percentage axial deformation of metal of additive wire and thickness of welded on bead; determining values of upsetting of additive wire metal and length of arcs of contact lands of metal of additive wire with sample and with welding-on roller; according to condition of balancing forces acting upon metal of additive wire from side of sample and from side of welding on roller, determining pressure of welding on roller acting upon metal of additive wire at the end of its upsetting equal to limit yield of deformed volume of additive wire metal; comparing it with limit yield of additive wire metal in cold state in order to determine according to said values heating temperature of additive metal at electric contact welding-on.

EFFECT: improved accuracy of determining heating temperature of additive metal.
