FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: claimed method includes melting of batch, containing chromium-manganese stainless steel waste and metal debris in arc furnace; metal melt blowing with oxygen to produce necessary carbon content; metal doping with manganese by its reducing form oxidative dross by feeding of lump aluminum-containing reducing agent and manganese-containing material. As manganese-containing material heat-treated low phosphorous oxide material containing 40-55 % of manganese and feeding simultaneously with lime is used. Lump aluminum-containing reducing agent is fed after feeding of manganese-containing material into metal melt bulk with aluminum consumption of 3.2-3.3 kg per 1 % of manganese in finished steel; and in doping process metal melt is blown with neutral gas in bubble regime.
EFFECT: intensified mass-exchange processes in reaction zone; decreased manganese losses; metal refined from sulfur and phosphorus.
