FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; alloying metals by manganese from oxide manganese- containing materials in steel-teeming ladle during tapping from steel- making unit. SUBSTANCE: melting is effected in steel-making unit; non-deoxidized metal is tapped into ladle and carbon-containing material is delivered to ladle before beginning of process. After smooth distribution of carbon-containing material over surface of metal, oxide manganese-containing material, reductant in form of aluminum and slag- forming materials in form of lime are introduced simultaneously at the following relationship of components, mass-%: oxide manganese- containing material, 56-65; aluminum, 12-16; carbon-containing material, 5-7, the remainder being lime. Carbon-containing material may be delivered in form of coke, coal, silicon carbide, calcium carbide or their combinations. EFFECT: improved quality of steel due to effective use of aluminum in reduction of manganese from oxide materials; reduced content of nonmetallic inclusions. 2 cl, 1 tbl, 1 ex
