FIELD: fish industry, in particular isolation of fat-soluble carotenoid complex from hydrobios.

SUBSTANCE: claimed method includes application of echinoderms, crustacea and other hydrobios, as well as waste from reprocessing thereof as starting materials. Prepares raw materials are ground up o particle size from 0.1 to 50 mm, and as solvent fish oil and/or vegetable-origin fats. Prior extraction fat is heated up to 15-40°C under continuous agitation. Then raw materials are combined with heated fat in raw materials/fat ratio of 1:1-1:3 under continuous agitation at temperature of 15-40°C for 30-40 min. Extraction is carried out at 15-40°C and under intense agitation. Extraction ratio is registered on the base of increasing of extract optical dense. Obtained fat extract of carotenoid complex is separated from dense residue by known methods and as a result carotenoid enriched fat and dense residue useful in feed supplement production (such as supplements for salmon) are obtained.

EFFECT: feed supplements with healthy and prophylaxis properties.
