FIELD: processes and equipment for chopping moving sheet material, mainly drive systems and designs of shears and chopping machines.
SUBSTANCE: method for driving cutter to reciprocation motion in dynamic-action shears and method for driving cutter to reciprocation motion for dynamic chopping of material are realized by means of simultaneously operating pneumatic cylinders. Rods of piston of such cylinders are secured to cutter for providing pulse reciprocation motion of cutter to its working position and pulse return of cutter to initial position in directions coincided with those of reciprocation motion of pneumatic cylinder pistons. In one variant of invention apparatus for chopping moving sheet material includes housing, cutter and unit for driving cutter to reciprocation motion. Housing of said apparatus is in the form of frame; unit for driving cutter to reciprocation motion is in the form of suspended in frame by means of shock absorbing articulation joints of vertically arranged pneumatic cylinders to piston rods of which horizontally arranged cutter is secured. Apparatus includes in addition control unit, receiver, unit for simultaneous pulse feed of compressed air from receiver to pneumatic cylinders in the form of pneumatic distributor with electric-pneumatic control and successively arranged under cutter shaft with elastic coating for chopping material on it and supporting shaft. In variant of invention unit for driving cutter to reciprocation motion is in the form of simultaneously operating pneumatic cylinders. To piston rods of said cylinders cutter is secured with possibility of impulse motion of cutter to working position and impulse return of it to initial position in directions coincided with those of reciprocation motion of pistons of pneumatic cylinders.
EFFECT: lowered cost, improved efficiency, simplified design, enhanced accuracy of size chopping at uniform distribution of efforts, lowered power consumption at simultaneous increase of working efforts acting upon material.
