SUBSTANCE: device comprises housing with means for control of horizontal position of the working surface of the housing and means for measuring the height of the cutting edge of the cutting tool with respect to the axis of the spindle, which is made of an extensible rod and electronic measuring device. The extensible rod is made for permitting linear movement perpendicular to the working surface of the housing. The electronic measuring device is made for permitting measurement of liner movements of the extensible rod perpendicular to the working surface of the housing and representing the results of the measurements in digital form.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measurements.
