FIELD: medicine microbiology, biotechnology, cell biology of especial dangerous and other infection.

SUBSTANCE: carbohydrate specificity of cholera vibrio lectin receptors is determined on the base of hemolysis inhibition reaction by carbohydrates. Carbohydrate dry batch is mixed with animal erythrocyte solution to obtain 1 % carbohydrate solution in 1 % erythrocyte slurry. Obtained slurry is incubated for 30-40 min at 37°C. Single-day broth culture of investigated cholera vibrio is introduced and incubated for 2 days at 37°C. Then positive or negative result of hemolysis deceleration by carbohydrates on the base of erythrocyte precipitate deposition in form of "button" or absence thereof is determined. Method of present invention makes it possible to determine cholera vibrio lectin receptors of various biovares and serovares.

EFFECT: method for determination of carbohydrate specificity of cholera vibrio lectin receptors with increased effectiveness.
