FIELD: railway transport; permanent way.
SUBSTANCE: device is designed to prevent rail creeping when this process leads to failure of switch mechanism. Proposed device contains pair of cover plates with vertical tenons getting into holes in metal bridge following the form of cross sections of tenons, and bolt clamping the cover plates installed symmetrically at different sides of rail. Tenons arranged in one end of cover plates are made cylindrical, are fitted in holes for sliding providing possibility of their turning around longitudinal axis. Clamping bolt is arranged at opposite ends of cover plates. Projection in cover plate is made between bolt and tenon close to tenon. Said projection is pointed to side of rail and is furnished with flats of contact with lower plane of head and upper plane of rail foot. Form of surfaces of said contact flats is formed by rotation of radial generatrices of tenon around their axis along two expanding spirals.
EFFECT: improved reliability and efficiency of devices preventing creeping of rails by wedging the rails in recesses if creeping leads to failures of pointless switch mechanism.
