FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction of railways and is intended for improvement of structures of connections and branching of rail tracks, namely, switch units. Stub-switch turnout (1) contains arrow (2) with movable transfer rails (3), electric drive (6) for transfer of transfer rails (3) of arrow (2) when it switches from one direction to another, cross-piece (7) with movable elements made in form of a pair of transfer rails (8) interconnected by bolts through inserts, second electric drive (9) for movement of transfer rails (8) of cross-piece (7), connecting paths (10) connecting arrow (2) and cross-piece (7) into a single structure, as well as butt straps (11) for connection of point transfer (1) to rails (12) of adjacent paths. Conversion rails (8) of cross-piece (7) have low profile and are installed on metal strip (13), ends of which rest against rails adjoining on both sides. Connection in joint (14) of rails of different height is made by means of transitional butt straps (11). Length of metal strip (13) exceeds length of transfer rails (8) of cross-piece (7) resting on it by value equal to value of two standard joint gaps, and thickness of metal strip (13) corresponds to difference of heights of track (12) and transfer rails (8).

EFFECT: increased reliability of structure operation due to elimination of failures caused by rail hijacking.
