FIELD: electro-optical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: night vision goggles intend for terrain orientation in darkness. Goggle shave two viewing branches. Each branch has objective, photoreceiving array with maximum of sensitivity in IR-range of spectrum, control unit, monitor, eye-piece and flat mirror mounted at angle to axis of eye-piece between the eye-piece and its exit pupil. Operator can use small-sized goggles for observing object either through goggles or without them alternatively.
EFFECT: higher compactness; improved comfort at use.
