SUBSTANCE: method involves determining degree of lignification in polarized light without coloring cuts of bean valve; evaluating pea resistance by comparing relative value of lignification of parchment layer with seed damage scale.
EFFECT: provision for quick and precise determination of pea resistance to pea weevil, complete preservation of field material and retention of other economically valuable features for further genetic and selection works.
