FIELD: mining industry, namely, drilling equipment used during driving of prospecting wells, possible use in all thermo-friction drilling tools for drilling oil, explosive and building wells.

SUBSTANCE: cutting bit contains cutting element in form of hard-alloy plate and cutting bit holder, consisting of frontal section for fastening cutting element and tail for connection to body of rock-destroying tool. Cutting bit holder is made of alloy with shape memory and is processed with possible extension of linear dimensions, while a part of cutting bit holder acting as drive is made with a recess.

EFFECT: decreased end width of thermo-friction crown, possible control over cutting bit runout.
