SUBSTANCE: the mode is in that an initial photograph on which a defect is exposed is fulfilled, lead marking signs on the controllable object are installed from the side of the film, two photographs are made with displacement of the source of emitting with the same exposition as the initial photograph, openings are pierced in the films in the places of images of the lead marks and the defect, the films are matched on a negatoscope with the lighting openings in the places of images of the lead marks, the displacement of the image of the defect is measured in accord with the lighting openings in the places of the image of the defect and the depth of the bedding of the defect is calculated.
EFFECT: provides possibility of definition of the depth of the bedding of a small-contrasted defect.
