FIELD: engineering of plasma accelerators.
SUBSTANCE: plasma accelerator is disclosed for generation of accelerated plasma stream in longitudinal direction, which contains plasma chamber, limited on the sides by walls and positioned between anode and accelerating electrode positioned on output of plasma chamber for plasma stream, and source of electrons, made with possible feeding of electrons into plasma chamber on the side of output of plasma stream, which is affected by electrical and magnetic fields formed in aforementioned plasma chamber for ionization of working gas in it. Source of electrons is formed by passive electrode surface inside the plasma chamber, which is loaded with a portion of plasma stream and emits electrodes during bombing with ions. Also proposed is analogical plasma accelerator, wherein device for forming a magnetic field contains in longitudinal direction between accelerating electrodes at least one magnetic pole surrounding the plasma chamber, responding pole of which is distanced in longitudinal direction from first magnetic pole, while source of electrons includes an electrode, positioned on the side of output of plasma stream outside the plasma chamber.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of plasma accelerator operation.
