FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises smoothing disk that is set in rotation and high-frequency vibration by means of exciter of the magnetostrictive member. The magnetostrictive member is made of an assembly of nickel plates that change their lengths under the action of magnetic forces caused by the supplied alternative current. As a result, the smoothing disk vibrates with a high frequency, and smoothing ring simultaneously rotates in the direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the disk and moves in horizontal plane over the surface to be smoothed synchronously with the disk.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of smoothing.
