FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed dead-end clamp designed for overhead cable termination has case 1, clamp grip 3 attached to case, and wedge-shaped parts 2 which are free to move relative to case for clamping overhead cable 5 in-between as wedge-shaped parts are moving relative to case 1. Clamp has bracing device 4 disposed at wider end of wedge-shaped parts 2 and ahead of their wider end thereby forming locking facility that moves wedge-shaped parts 2 in direction of stretching due to cable draw-out. Bracing device 4 may be made in the form of clamping screw 4a or similar clamping facility for clamping cable at the same time pressing directly on conductor metal and in case of sheathed cable, through cable insulation.
EFFECT: ability of equalizing potential between cable and dead-end clamp case.
