FIELD: dead-end clamps for overhead cables such as branched ones.
SUBSTANCE: dead-end clamp that can be used for multiconductor cable has wedge-shaped plastic parts disposed between metal plates of body, and cable conductor ends are secured in-between by means of clamping bolt. Thimble with elongated variable-length locking hole is spaced apart from both metal plates. Bracing strap made of stainless-steel wire carries on its ends thickened sections passed through locking hole only at their widest end. Sides of bracing strap are pressed to thimbles due to its inherent stress.
EFFECT: reduced cost, facilitated body-to-strap fixation.
