FIELD: metal continuous casting processes and plants, namely guide for blank to metal continuous casting plant.

SUBSTANCE: guide includes at least two roller segments. Each segment has sides for blank inlet and for blank outlet and pair of roller supports including row of supporting rollers mounted along support zones. Hydraulic mounting units are used for adjusting roller supports. In order to provide flexible properties of guide structure and to shorten time period of guide mounting/dismounting, mechanical joint is provided between its adjacent segments. Said joint is realized in such a way that to provide mounting motion of cylinder pair placed at side of guide segment for blank inlet at that side and simultaneously at side of blank outlet of previous segment joined with above mentioned segment. When cylinder pair is placed at side of blank outlet of guide segment, mounting motion is realized at that side and simultaneously at side of blank inlet of previous segment joined with above mentioned segment. Between first and last segments flexible link is realized just in such way. Hydraulic mounting units are controlled with possibility of transmitting effort in such a way that mounting motion realized at one side is simultaneously transferred to other side of adjacent segment. Invention allows create structure of guide segment without mounting cylinder. It provides significantly improved design of guides for changing-thickness blanks. In case of breakage it is possible to easily change broken segment part by means of standby part as there is no need for disconnecting hydraulic links and pickup connections.

EFFECT: improved design of guide, shortened time period for changing worn parts.
