FIELD: working materials by cutting, working construction materials.
SUBSTANCE: process comprises step of feeding to working zone ionized gas fluid. In order to simplify cutting process and to enhance wear resistance of tool due to lowered friction factor and reduced temperature in zones of main plastic deformations and blank-to-tool contact, tool with multifunctional coating is used. Said multifunctional coating contains wear resistant layer and triboactive layer generating friction preventing grease by action of ionized gas fluid. It is possible to create ultrasonic oscillations to working zone in direction of main motion or cutting speed. Ionized gaseous fluid may be fed simultaneously onto front and back surfaces of cutting tool. Mixture of nitrogen and argon at volume relation 70%/30% may be fed into working zone.
EFFECT: simplified cutting process, increased wear resistance of cutting tool.
