FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering, it can be used at the final stage of manufacturing cutting ceramic plates made of aluminum-silicon oxynitride to ensure their increased wear resistance during turning of heat-resistant nickel alloys used in the aviation industry. The method involves the precipitation on the contact surfaces of the plate of a two-layer diamond-like coating consisting of an adhesive sublayer (CrAlSi)N with a thickness of 2.5 mcm, formed by vacuum-arc evaporation of Cr and AlSi cathodes in a gas mixture of nitrogen and argon, and an outer diamond-like layer with a thickness of 2.5 mcm, formed by plasma-chemical gas-phase precipitation in a glow discharge plasma by chemical reaction and decomposition of the components of the gas mixture of acetylene C2H2, argon Ar and tetramethylsilane Si(CH3)4. After that, by means of selective melting and evaporation of the front surface sections, a micro-relief is formed in the form of a group of micro-holes of given sizes, designed to accommodate and retain a lubricant based on molybdenum disulfide.

EFFECT: wear resistance of the cutting plates is increased when processing with increased feed rates and the surface roughness of the workpiece is reduced.
