FIELD: glassmaking industry.
SUBSTANCE: high light-transmission soda-lime glass contains less than 0.4% of the total amount of iron expressed by formula Fe2O3 having oxidation/reduction ratio at least 30% and FeO content at least 0.08%, and contains at least 5 ppm, currently 1500 ppm (based on the total mass of glass) of at least one of following colorants: Cr2O3 (2-500 ppm), V2O5 (0-1000 ppm), Co (0-100 ppm), and Se (0-10 ppm). Such glass is suitable for glazing of motor cars and buildings.
EFFECT: increased excitation frequency of colored glass to high light-transition levels with moderate UV and IR transmission levels preserved.
