FIELD: glassmaking. SUBSTANCE: glass is provided absorbing IR and UV emission and characterized by total iron content expressed as Fe2O3 within the range from 0.25 to 1.75 wt % and ferrous iron content found from formula: FeO ≥ 007+(Optical density-0.036)/2.3, glass also including Se, Co3O4,Nd2O3, NiO, MnO, V2O5,TiO2, CuO, and SnO. Glass sheet 4 mm thick is characterized by coefficient of visible light transmission at least 32%, coefficient of direct transmission of sun heat at least 7% below that of visible light, and coefficient of UV light transmission at least 32%.
