FIELD: wind power engineering; windmills for generation of mechanical or electrical power.

SUBSTANCE: proposed windmill is provided with turbine mounted on vertical axle in stator and system of swivel wind directing shields. Stator is made in form of group of truncated pyramids engageable together over lateral sides; lesser bases of these pyramids are directed to axis of rotation of wind turbine and axes of turn of shields are located in corners of lesser base.

EFFECT: increased utilization factor.
