FIELD: electrical engineering; induction-motor drives including those for intermittently running aircraft reversing electrical mechanisms.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device designed for induction-motor dynamic braking with dc current prior to energizing the brake has three-phase induction motor, electromechanical brake, and brake energizing circuit; in addition it is provided with newly introduced braking signal generation circuit, electromechanical brake turn-on delay circuit, and three single-phase switches. This device provides for motor dynamic braking thereby reducing motor speed by minimum an order of magnitude. Electromechanical brake slows down shaft speed by less than two orders of magnitude compared with complete braking.
EFFECT: reduced wear of frictional surfaces and enhanced service life of brake.
